Lovely ladies!!! I just want to say I am SO sorry that it took me so long to post my bio and get in the loop with all of this blogging stuff! I'm so glad to be updated on your lives and I value this time of preparation as we are all getting to know each other, deepening our passions for what's to come, and preparing our hearts and spirits for the Lord's work 

well.....this is me!

My name is Kelsey! A few people call me Kels for short, my aunt calls my Kelsaroo.....

Believe it or not, I was actually born in Nairobi, Kenya! My parents were on a mission trip there for 2 years when I happened to be born.  I was only there for 6 months and have lived in Colorado all my life.  I have grown up in Denver- a true city girl.   I love the inner-city....the diversity, the character, the history, the business....

I adore my family.  I have 2 younger siblings that I am really close to, and a huge extended family-all of which live in CO.  My family is such a huge part of who I love sharing my life with and they give me so much joy.

I am 20 years old and a sophomore at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  There is a lot of partying and darkness here, but God is so much bigger than it all.  The community and light that I have found shines so brightly and I am so blessed to have so many people who love God around me to walk with every day.  I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Women's Studies....not sure exactly what to do with them yet I just LOVE my classes and learning about people.  I would love to do nonprofit work, international work, or something of the sort after I graduate...

I love love LOVE the rain! Watching thunderstorms and heavy rain are my favorite.  The smell of the Earth right after it rains, naturally, also makes me really happy. Sad romantic movies are my weakness,  I love eating frozen cookie dough and baking.  Spending time with girlfriends restores my soul..... I love the outdoors-hiking, biking, swimming in rivers, leisurely strolls.  Nature and seeing God's beauty around me is something that I need. I have heard Thailand is beautiful, which I am SO excited for!  I love reading a good book, preferrably not one that is assigned in school.  I love night hikes and going on spontaneous adventures!!! 

I have been on many mission trips within the U.S.- to Seattle, Los Angeles, Minnesota, and Denver.  I also went on one to Costa Rica a few years ago.  All of them were with my high school youth group, which has had such a huge impact on me and is a big part of who I am today.   It is always so amazing to see the way God works in our discomfort and in new places!!  I learned about the sex trafficking industry 4 years ago and haven't been the same since.  God keeps bringing it up in my life and I have a HUGE heart for injustice against women and girls....around the world but as well as in my friend's lives. 

I love seeing beauty in uncommon places,

I love being so overwhelmed with joy and awe that it is beyond words.

I believe that God delights in filling us with inexpressible joy and glory.

I love that He longs to reveal Himself to us in new ways all the time.....that there is mystery in every day if we seek Him with all of our hearts.

I fall more in love with Boulder, the friends I am surrounded with, and our redeeming Savior every day, it seems.  I feel so unbelievably blessed.  I can't wait to meet all of you.  I know that He has called each of us to this for a reason, which is SO amazing! I want to know you, know your beautiful hearts.  We are women of boldness, women with voices for the voiceless.  

Of course I have fears about being away from home, traveling, packing, and the unknown, but I know He is going before us. And we are in this together!!!! Cannot wait.
