Me: Hey everyone, I'm Denise. I'm 18 but will be turning 19 in April so I'll be 19 when we live for the trip : ) I live in Mountain View, Missouri. It is a really small town in the southern part of the state. I have lived in Mountain View my whole life.

School: I am currently attending college at Missouri State University-West Plains. It's a branch off of the main campus in Springfield. West Plains is about 30 minutes away from Mountain View so we just drive over to class. And yes I said we, I am a twin so me and my sister drive over every Monday and Wednesday for class. I am older though by four minutes and never let her forget it : ) although she says I pushed her out of the way when we were being born so I could be first, but I choose not to believe that. I haven't decided on a major yet, but I do know that I will do something in human services because I love helping people.

Work: I work at a movie theater and absolutely LOVE it. It is so much fun working there and I would not want to work anywhere else.

Hobbies: I love to read books when I'm not doing homework for school which is not very often, but I love to curl up in a chair with a good book and just read.

Mission Trips: I have been on several mission trips. The most recent one was in October. I went to Cambodia to learn more about human trafficking (sex trafficking in particular) and it completely changed my life. My heart broke seeing all the girls trapped in this horrific crime. Once I came home from Cambodia I knew that I could no longer ignore this problem with human trafficking so I started speaking out about human trafficking to different churches I am very passionate about stopping human trafficking and helping all the victims in it. I am a very compassionate person and knowing that millions of children are getting raped everyday breaks my heart. I have also been to Mexico several times. We as Americans do not realize how much we have until we see the poverty level that so many people are in.

This Trip: I am so excited about this trip!! I cannot wait to meet everyone and see what God has in store for all of us. I feel like this trip is perfect for me because we will be sharing God's word and also helping human trafficking victims which are my two most passionate things in life. The only thing I am nervous about is the food. I'm kinda a picky eater but I'll eat what I have to in order to further God's kingdom I guess : )
