Anyways.....

My name is Kelly Harry. I am 19 years old. I am originally from Baltimore, but I have lived in Raleigh, NC most of my life. I am a Sophomore at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC (ITS GREAT TO BE A MOUNTAINEER!!) I am majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Spanish. I am not positive about what I want to do when I graduate, but I think it would be really cool to be a lobbyist for human rights issues, or get involved with foreign political public relations. 

I love rock climbing, reading (especially literature written in other countries during the 19th century...dorky..i know haha) and music. I play the piano for the worship band for Campus Crusade at school, and other than that I just LOVE music. Most of the money I have ever made has been spent on music. 

One other thing that I am really passionate about is football. My family is from Pittsburgh, so we are die-hard Steelers fans! I also love Penn State football, and of course Appalachian football :). 

My family is extremely important to me. I literally have the best one in the world. My sister, Rachel, is 18, and my brother, Jake, is 16. We are all really close. 

Missions background? I have been to Ecuador 5 times with my church. I love love love love it there. I speak Spanish, not fluently, but I am conversational. That's another thing about me, I love languages. Other cultures absolutely FASCINATE me. I have tried to learn a little Thai...It's hard (haha). 

I am SO excited about this trip. I can not even being to explain the journey that has brought me to this point, but I can't believe I am actually here. It might seem fundamental, but the main thing I have learned over the years is that God is in control. Of everything. Period. I love Him with all of my heart, and it breaks my heart to know that time that I have wasted. I can't wait to share the joy and hope that I have found in Him with these girls in Thailand.

And I can't wait to meet and share this experience with all of you!!
